[Twiz O'meter/BigToM/ToM+] Update to firmware 2.4

I could finally check and configure it. With full brightness and your tweaked red it's looking fine

Meanwhile I found a little bug while trying to disable the auto-dimming. The checkbox itself isn't saved and back to unchecked every time, but setting the value to 100% brightness helped, it got saved.

Of course i did not read the inctructions and of course i installed FW 2.4 before LCD.
Display update didn't even start, also after downgrade to FW 2.3.
I had to do a restart of the System on the switch, Software reboot didn't help, then i could install Display Firmware
Just for others to not need to use SD Card

To update to fw 2.4, it's mandatory to follow the instructions.
Anyway, did you succeed at the end?

This is normal, because the updating process is waiting for a display reply (which won't arrive), so it's stuck in this point.
Only an hw reboot can solve.

I know I am a bit late (was a busy year for me so far) but:

thanks for this:

- added a "max charge once" option, which bypasses once the charging control settings (without loosing them) and get a 100% SOC charge, with no current limit.
This option is available both in the display settings (page nr. 2) and in the webUI, charging prefs page.
It is effective for the current charging process, if one is in progress, or for the next charging process, if none is in progress

for whatever reason the mqtt broker isn't connecting anymore.

The wifi get's connected and after a few minutes ToM goes "down", no display - just dark. And a browser connection fails.

Any hint how to locate the error ?

Try to flag in the webUI, the option for increasing the thermal protection treshold, and then check if it's better.

Ich muss mittlerweile jeden Mittag oder Abend die Box ab- und wieder anschalten, dass das Display an geht.
Wir haben mittlerweile auch ein mildes Wetter, an den Temperaturen kann es nicht liegen


By now, I have to turn the box off and back on every afternoon or evening just to get the display to come on.
We’ve got mild weather now, too, so it can't be due to the temperatures.

I removed, no change at present, perhaps when I return next time.

Temperature inside the box isn't due only to external (weather) temperature.
If increasing the treshold would help, I'll be able to exclude other possible causes.
It costs nothing to try.

Concerning your problerm, If I'm not wrong I already sent you a replacement some time ago because you reported random reboots.
If you still have problems also with the new unit, I can of course replace also this.

I understood:

1. Update Blackbox OTA 1.8 -> 2.3
2. Update Display OTA 1.7 -> 2.3
3. Update Display OTA 2.3 -> 2.4 (will stay black after that)
4. Update BlackBox OTA 2.3 -> 2.4
