I was already a big fan of ToMmy, BUT ToM+ is amazing

A really great gadget that isn't developed for IT nerds. ToM is for everyone. Easy to set up, everything is plug and play, very intuitive to use. Even updates can be done by anyone without any problems.

Reading and understanding errors is also easy peasy.

ToM+ provides endless information and offers almost infinite possibilities.

In the meantime I have my own MQTT server running. Now I need a helping hand.

My MQTT server runs on a Raspberry and delivers the data from the ToM+ and evcc.

evcc controls my photovoltaic system and can also send commands via an API. At least, that's what I hope...

Now to my question. What exactly does the Mqtt command look like that I can use to control the Twizy charger?

I have alteady activated MQTT control (002).

Perhaps someone could helpme with an example command or a link to further informations.

Eins vorneweg, ich war ja schon ein großer Fan vom ToMmy.
ABER das ToM+ ist der Wahnsinn! Eine ganz tolle Lösung, die nicht für den IT Nerd entwickelt wurde, sondern für jedermann. Einfache Einrichtung, alles Plug and Play, sehr intuitiv in der Bedienung. Selbst ein Update ist von jedem problemlos zu schaffen.

Fehler auslesen und verstehen ist damit auch ein Kinderspiel.

Das Teil liefert Infos ohne Ende und bietet fast unendlich viele Möglichkeiten zu spielen.

Ich habe nun auch nach etwas einlesen einen eigenen MQTT Server am Laufen und bräuchte jetzt mal einen Schupps in die richtige Richtung.

Mein MQTT Server läuft auf einem Raspberry und liefert schön die Daten vom ToM+ und von evcc.
evcc regelt meine PV Anlage und kann über eine API wohl auch Kommandos senden. Hoffe ich zumindestens und bin das gerade am ergründen.

Nun zu meiner Frage. Wie sieht denn das Mqtt Kommando genau aus mit dem ich das Ladegerät regeln kann?

MQTT control (002) habe ich aktiviert.

Vielleicht kann mir jemand ein Beispiel Kommando schreiben oder einen Link liefern damit ich weiter komme. Habe gerade einen Hänger und komme nicht weiter.

About your question, the mqtt command format is something like this:
"ToM/command/set payload"
where command is 001 or 002 or 003
payload for 001: 0 to abort charge
payload for 002: 0 to 7, for setting charging level
payload for 003: 20 to 100, for setting stop charge %

So, for example, if you want to set charging level to 4:
ToM/002/set 4

After a bit of tinkering, your MQTT command works well.
I almost understand it .

My next step will be to teach the Shelly 1P plug in evcc to send the command to ToM+ depending on the surplus.

For a professional, this would probably take five minutes. For me, it will probably take until spring .

But that's not so bad, it's not a must, just a nice extra . All other cars communicate perfectly with the wallbox via evcc, which is much more important.

I'll upload soon (just a few days to complete the street tests with my rude prototype) the new firmware with the support for the second display.
To those who have upgraded from ToM to ToM+ and who are interested to revitalize the unused ToM display, I'll provide the "split connector" for free (just with the refund of the shipping costs).
Of course, adding the auxiliary display will be possible for ToM+ owners as well.

Es zeigt ja leider noch die gleiche Restreichweite an, wie das originale Display.

Yes, read this post , and try with the second method, after entering the correct battery capacity in the display settings page.
