Type2 and auxiliary charger: my solution.
As I've written elsewhere, I was thinking of implementing "fast" charge in my Twizy, not for everyday use, but intended for occasional use, on long trips or when I'm in a hurry.
Since I usually charge at home, mainly with PV green energy, the original charger is enough for me most of the time.
So my wish was a removable solution, based on an auxiliary charger, easy to install when needed, without having each time to worry about connecting cables & wires, and that could be paired with the original charger.
Huawei R48XXG was the best candidate, because it has a sliding connector for DC and AC, and I have already managed to pair it with the original charger thanks to my Huawizy device.

Some photos to explain how I did it.
I decided to place the Huawei rectifier in a easily accessible place: attached to the inner plastic cover of the left wheel arch.
.

.
As you can see, the rectifier has two holders: the upper one is permanently fixed and contains all the wires (AC, DC and signals)
.

.
the lower one can be removed along with the rectifier by simply unscrewing by hand two screws with knobs.
.

.
Screwing/unscrewing and sliding out the rectifier takes just a few seconds.

Since I needed to keep the frontal charging box for the original charger cable and I didn't want to drill big holes externally to place the Type 2 socket, I looked for a suitable location inside the Twizy, deep enough.
I found a good space under the left gloove compartment, to the left of the steering column.
I have no skills with metalwork & Co., so Snorre designed and build a smart mounting plate, which adheres perfectly to the square tubes of the Twizy chassis and can be secured with screws.
.

.

I added an high current line from the charger to the battery, capable of up 100A,
.

.
equipped with a dedicated relay and fuse, located inside the battery box.
.

.
The auxiliary rectifier is controlled by my Huawizy device , where I can set all the operating parameters: DC Volts and Ah, AC max Ah, total Ah supplied to the battery by both the rectifier and the original charger, % SOC shutdown of the additional rectifier, % SOC shutdown of the charging process and many others. (Soon, the settings will be available also in ToM and BigToM).
This device will follow the charging process and, in real time, control the rectifier accordingly to the set parameters.
.

To simplify things as much as possible, I added (following Snorre's suggestion) a shuko socket to the charging box, so that also the original charger is powered via the Type 2.
.

.

That's all !
If interested, I will provide more specific information.

Finally, I cannot miss to publicly thank Snorre, who, in addition to creating the Type 2 mounting plate, has supported me remotely during my long running work, giving me help and advice, and putting up all my daily PMs, even on the darkest days of failure. Without his tireless collaboration, my project would have failed miserably.

Nice Work!

My "2ct"... sharp edges in the area beside the knee... hmmm...
And the Schuko socket, is it made of "hard plastic" and does it meet any "IP class"?

Thanks.

None sharp edges. The mounting plate edges are rounded, and the plate is more deep than the plastic of the dashboard. Photos didn't give the exact idea of 3D space.

You are right. I'm still looking for a better gummy socket, but here Shuko aren't so used and so there aren't available many models.

No, it's 16 mm2.
The piece of wire from the two relays to the battery plus pole is 25mm2.

Italian Shoe Sizes end with 39 :-) :-) :-)

With 46/47 "Kinder-Särgen" you need every millimeter of space :-)

Mehr Twizys, mehr Freude.

I suppose that Pfälzer is talking about the edges of the rectifier and the black, 3D printed mounting parts. ;)

I have 44 foot size. May be I've german origin. :P
Anyway, the space is reduced between 45mm to 50mm.
It doesn't create problem to me or to my legs.
The footrest is still usable without restrictions.

I changed the shuko with IP44 gummy shuko, following the suggestions received here
.

.
and I completed the installation of the aux charger also in my brother's Twizy.
Now both have brand new Huawei R54875G rectifiers as aux charger.
.

.
My father performed a 6,2 kWh test, in a public charging column (the quality of the video isn't the best... ).
Everything went well!:)
