Are the holes in the long strips tapped?

Any thought given to caps over the busbar bolts? They look pretty close to the adjacent module.

I'd be interesting in the assembly sequence as this is something I'm looking at.

Looking at it the frames look like they need to be bolted in before the modules are fitted, but the bus bars are under the modules?

Hi,

you first install the Metal-Sheets for installation with original Screws you get from disassamble the original Modules.
Then you put the first Module in, install the GND Busbar and one Busbar for the next Module. Then put in the second one, screw on the connector and another Busbar, and so on. You need to install it one after another. I dont have any space in there to realise it another way.

Gruß,
Patrick

So I assume you have tapped out the holes to accept the mounting bolts for the module to the frame as on the i Pace module they are not threaded

Korrekt. Tap a M6 Thread into the holes.

Does using just 4 M6 fasteners into some VERY soft Aluminium not worry you, for example in a crash case? There's barely 1 x the fastener diameter thread engagement.

I think I'm going to use some barrel nuts (4 or 6 per end plate, depending on what the crash case calculations say) located into the existing 8mm through holes in the module & drill through, designing a new side frame to accommodate.
