[Twiz O'meter/BigToM/ToM+] Fix for occasionally boot failure or shutdown.

A few ToM+ users reported me occasionally boot failures (ToM+ doesn't start when turning the key) or unmotivated shutdowns especially while charging.
After several tests (thank to Snorre for the detailed investigation), we came to the conclusion that it's not an hardware neither a software defect.
Simply: my ToM device has an overheat protection, so in these so hot days the protection is triggered, especilly for the ToM+ which is installed in the gloove-box.
Since the temperature treshold for the protection is set prudently with some margin, I increased it a little (+5°), so to prevent the problem.
Who is experimenting such situation can safely update with the attached firmware. It's also suitable for ToM and BigToM.
If it won't be enough, I'll increase the treshold a little more.

Oh yes, I've had this phenomenon a couple of times in the past few weeks when it was hotter.

I'm always a little scared of firmware updates but I'll try this.

Kleiner Glitch auf dem Heimweg gestern Abend nach dem Update:
Auf der Fahrt sah die 70000 eher wie 10000 aus.

Zuhause angekommen noch mal Zündung aus / an, also das Display damit auch neu gestartet, war es dann wieder ok.

Heute Abend mal beobachten

This is like it should be in any device, at least it's in mine.

Anyway I dubt this fix will solve your problem: you reported it isn't heat related.
In fw 2.4 (available soon) I'll recoded one piece of the code which manages the wake-up recognition, in order to make it more tolerant.

Keep me informed about glitches.
Fw 2.4 will have an heavy change in the graphics, so these issues could happen, till all the graphic elements will be properly set.

The glitch happens on all trips.
On my next trips, I will pay attention to when it happens.

In case, can you try to:
first test =========================
- change the total Km value (tapping on it) to another one
- enter and exit from set up (3 dots icon)
- check if also this value glitches
second test ======================
- change the total Km value (tapping on it), browse all items and go back to the total km
- enter and exit from set up (3 dots icon)
- check if the icon is correct

when cycling the screens the wrong image is still overlaying the ODO icon again.

When tapping on the ODO value and changing the items, the ODO icon is back but only overlaying the ODO icon. Below is a leftover of the wrong icon.

The glitch happens all times at 71 km/h.

At 71 kmh the display (with default settings) must show the red speed bar, under the speed digits.
The wrong image you see is the next in memory after the red speedbar.
So there is something strange. It seems your LCD fw isn't updated.
Can you update also the lcd, with the firmware file (For_BigToM-ToMplus_LCD_Fw23) you find inside the archive in this post ?

I uploaded the display firmware and looks good now.
(I thougt I had installed it already)
