1) First of all, turn off your ToM with the switch present on the OBD connector (position 0).
2) Unplug the USB connector of the original ToM display and plug the new ToM+ one (it is equipped with the same USB male connector)
3) Turn on the ToM OBD switch (position 1) and then turn on your Twizy, waiting ToM to boot
4) Update your ToM with the firmware inside the .zip archive attached at this post (Akku61: chaged firmware-file in the attachment to the right one) . You can update OTA or via USB, following the instructions you find in the forum.
5) Once your ToM will complete the reboot with the new firmware, go to the webUI, "OTA Update & Prefs"
6) Here, you'll find a new section called "HW UPGRADE"
7) In the "Password for upgrade to ToM+" field, you have to enter the password written in the cover of the cartoon box where the "upgrade kit" is cointained and press the UPGRADE button
8) Turn off your Twizy
That's all! Now you have a ToM+
Next time you'll turn on again your Twizy, ToM+ will be working, presenting you the speedometer page as first page.
If you want, you can connect the external control button to the expasion port.
And, if you prefer to have the new 3D layout also for the charging page, enable it in the BigToM/ToM+ page of the webUI and press SAVE

Sorry, this isn't correct. You have to set pin2 of the expansion port to act as CTRL button (webUI, Expansion port tab).Delvecchio schrieb: If you want, you can connect the external control button to the expasion port. It will work without need to set anything.

The FW upgrade of the control box went well, I now see v2.1.
When I started up for the first time, with the original display connected, it came up normally.
I then shut down, connected the large display, and started back up. This showed the same layout as the original display, with the addition of the PNR indicator in the top left. This indicator changed when I switched driving modes.
Then, I entered the ToM+ upgrade code, but then something appeared to go wrong. The large display now shows this:
To test, I then reconncted the original display, and that also wasn't normal:
Luckily, the functionality that is most important to me (MQTT connection to my Home Assistant) is still working, but obviously this isn't working as expected. Shutting down/starting back up doesn;t appear to help.
What can I do?
2020 Twizy 80 with Korea windows. I have a Twiz'O'meter which is connected to my Home Assistant. I have a type 2 adapter and a CEE adapter so I can charge everywhere. I can read and understand German pretty well, but I can't write it

When I press any of the 5 icons in the bottom right (battery, engine block, battery-with-i, danger triangle, gyroscope), then the display switches to this:
So that's not too bad. However, it doesn't display the large speedometer.
[edit] One thing that caught my eye: the battery temp is displayed at 0C. I don't think that's true. The outside temperature here is around 7C today, so I'd expect the battery to be around that temperature. Certainly not 0C. Motor temp seems to be on the high side. Batt voltage and current seem plausible. Batt current also changes if I switch on the high beams, for instance.
Unlocking the ToM+ functionality seems to have worked though, because when I check the web server, I see this:
If you need any more information, or would like me to try something, please let me know.
[edit2] I have not connected the button yet. Do you think that might make a difference?

I attach here the firmware fix.
You have to redo all the steps starting from number 3), using the firmware in the attached archive.
In case it works as expected, I'll ask Akku61 to modify the first post.
Sorry for the inconvenience, but the upgrade needs a lot of changes to the original ToM fw and I forgot to uncomment one.

After dinner, I'll shoot the FW into my control box and post the results.

I hope to read in the ToM+ topic your experience with your ToM+ upgrade.
If you want to eliminate faint blue light that filters from the back,
it's enough you attach a small strip of adhesive tape (the textile one is perfect) on the dashboard shell in the junction point with ToM+ display. Do not attach it on the display, otherwise it won't enter anymore in the stand-alone case.

I'm quite tall, and most of my length is in my upper body. So I'm lucky to not see the faint blue light coming over the top of the ToM+

Let's say that two displays working together are better than one...
At the moment it's only an hope.
