HELP!! TWIZY 45 2012 with custom Battery and VIRTUALBMS wont start.

As you know, my father bought a 2012 Twizy without battery with the original idea of using a custom made battery and VIRTUALBMS.

The process of creating the battery was great, with homemade case, 96 cells of LEV40, two thermistors, fans and internal BMS. The VIRTUALBMS was also fine, programming the arduino with firmware, the process was easy and clean.

When we mounted all, the car wont start. The system returns the SERV and STOP lights ON. We had not any diag system that can return an error code as Renauld codes in it workshop manual (that we bought on internet). We bought it thinking that it will come with wiring diagram but not.

We bougth then a diag system with same error codding than Renault and it returns a DF181 that means that the charger wont activate the charger relay. First we thought that the problem cames from wiring, we dissambled it and tested all wires point to point and there is no faulty ones.

We read that this car has the MAIN logic control board in charger, and that its the worst part of the car and that the charger usually fault stopping the car. We replaceded the original fitted (2016) with a used one theorically in working condition, but whe we replaced the car still in the same status with SERV and STOP lights on.

We tried to activate the SERVON logical relay manually and then the system activate the MAIN RELAY. Then, the SERV light was off but still the STOP light on.

Actually we dont know what to do........ Any idea will be appreciated!!!!!

you build a battery with 16s , right ?
The standard Twizy configuration is 14s.

First , I am not familar with this kind of modification. I know no Twizy with a running 16s Battery. I would guess the Twizy battery charger and other Components complain a to high battery Voltage. For safety reasons there are several controllers that shut down the system in case of overvoltage. I think this is the reason why you see „STOP“
I would suspect more error messages (codes) around to high voltage.
….. just my idear around the problem you discribed.

Thanks for your opinion, but the problem don´t came from Battery because I used the VIRTUALBMS and that worsk fine... the battery is between charger and controller limits..

More opinions please!
