Hello,
Perhaps I may make a few comments:
To reduce complexity and costs, I would go for the TI BQ76952 ( www.ti.com/product/BQ76952 ). Apart from being easier to program, it also costs less and consumes less standby power at approx. 0.05 mA. There is also an evaluation board and extensive documentation on control and programming. For safety reasons, I would recommend using a CAN transceiver from the TI TCAN1044 family for the CAN interface. This protects the CAN bus against interference, etc. See also page 3 of the document: www.ti.com/lit/ta/sszt520a/sszt520a.pdf . This is also done with this chip in the automotive sector.
Best regards
Torsten

A little more expensive, but automotive ready; could be: Ti BQ79616H-Q1 Anyway, needs an external MCU. We don't like at all using not funcional safety electronics in a vehicle. Its your life. Many souls are lost for other stupid fails or wrong device selection that triggered catastrophic events. Human first design.
Inside a battery, sometimes its very hot. A extended temp range, like automotive ready ics until 125º Celsius or more, helps a lot in this situations.
I hope this helps. Regards.

Du bist einfach zu ungeduldig.
Außerdem war ja jetzt schonmal knapp 3 Wochen Ausnahmezustand. Erst mit dem heutigen Tag geht es wieder normal.
